Changes implemented via the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program, combined with the continued phase out of R-22, will lead contractors to seek out opportunities to gain experience with the use of new low-GWP refrigerants.

The Chemours Company has completed its spin-off from DuPont and has launched as an independent, publicly traded corporation. Chemours is a global chemical company with market positions in titanium technologies, fluoroproducts, and chemical solutions.

A-Gas International has announced the formation of A-Gas Americas following the merger of sister companies Coolgas, RemTec, CIJSA, and A-Gas Performance Chemicals. A-Gas Americas will operate from the companies’ existing locations within the group in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas as well as Mexico.
Airgas Inc. has announced that Emmanuel Dupree has been named president - Airgas Refrigerants. Dupree succeeds Ted Schulte who is retiring at the end of the month after nearly 16 years of executive leadership at Airgas.
