Featuring high EER — up to 22.2 at full load and 29.8 in part load — SmartSource™ water-source heat pump products offer low noise operation and a wide range of features and options. The electrically commutated motor (ECM) is a standard feature across the entire product line.
Sizes 160 (13.3 tons), 192 (16 tons), 240 (20 tons) and 300 (25 tons) have been added to the Tranquility Compact Belt Drive (TC) Series. These sizes are only available in a vertical cabinet. Vertical unit configurations can be ordered with front or back return air and top, front, or back supply air discharge.
The Tranquility® 22 Two-Stage Compact (TY) Series water-source heat pumps exceed ASHRAE 90.1 efficiencies with two-stage operation. They also use EarthPure® (HFC-410A) zero ozone depletion refrigerant. They are available in sizes 2 through 5 tons with multiple cabinet options (vertical upflow and horizontal).
Horizontal configurations of variable-speed water-source heat pumps designed for commercial applications are available. The models feature sizes up to 5 tons and complement existing vertical models in the Trane Axiom™ variable-speed portfolio.
The MicroTech® Integrated System for water-source heat pump applications provides smart controls, high performance, and installation as easy as plug-and-play, the company said. It is a complete system in the small building market, integrating pumps, towers, boilers, and ventilation air with a water-source heat pump.
