The Energy Star Label Is Strongly Recognized by the Majority of Americans

The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) has announced that results from its National Awareness of Energy Star® survey for 2014 shows continued growing strength for the Energy Star brand. In 2014, 89 percent of households recognized the Energy Star label when it was shown to them.
The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) is considering changes to its specification on nonweatherized gas furnaces, and has requested comments from stakeholders, including the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Comments are due by July 22.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Scotsman Ice Systems as a 2012 Energy Star Partner of the Year – Product Manufacturer for its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient products and helping to educate consumers about those products.
