Daikin Industries Ltd. announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Goodman Global Group Inc. from affiliates of Hellman & Friedman LLC for $3.7 billion.

Long-time Austin, Texas-area heating and air conditioning contractor, Chris Strand, has acquired Stan’s Heating & Air Conditioning, an Austin company formerly owned by Stan Johnson. Strand founded Strand Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning in 1978, and later sold the business to Service Experts.

Ferguson Enterprises Inc., one of the largest wholesale plumbing distributors in the United States, has acquired Davis & Warshow Inc., a leading metro New York residential and commercial plumbing supplier. Ferguson is also a major distributor of HVACR equipment.
