Parker Hannifin Corp. announced that it has acquired the hydraulics manufacturing division of PIX Transmissions Ltd., Nagpur, India. Johns Manville (JM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced it has purchased Industrial Insulation Group LLC (IIG), a manufacturer of insulation for industrial, commercial, and fireproofing applications.
What has been long rumored in the HVAC industry became official as Daikin Industries signed a definitive agreement to acquire Goodman Global Group for $3.7 billion. The companies hope the agreement will give the Japanese company even more of a presence in North America.
