Working group reaches consensus on energy conservation standards

The Appliance Standards Awareness Project (ASAP), the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) today applauded the success of the Commercial Package Air Conditioners and Commercial Warm Air Furnaces Working Group to negotiate conservation standards for these products.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a pre-publication Federal Register notice of public meeting and availability of a framework document regarding energy conservation standards for commercial packaged boilers.
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) announced that it has filed comments in response to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) request for information (RFI) on energy conservation standards for commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment.
