Reduces service time for warranty programs and ESPs

Warrantech, a national provider of extended service plans (ESPs) and warranties, announced a unique new offering that will improve the customer experience by reducing the amount of time it takes to service products.
Just about every manufacturer recommends homeowners have their air-source heat pumps serviced twice a year — once in the spring and once in the fall. Most believe that semi-annual maintenance helps keep equipment operating at peak performance and ensures the unit is ready for the heat of summer or cold of winter.
Perlick Corp., a maker of undercounter refrigeration, announced it has extended its residential products warranty to three years. The warranty is applicable to products built after Feb. 1. The warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any part of the product, for three years from the date of the original purchase.
Direct Energy, parent company of Clockwork Home Services, has reached an agreement to acquire Home Warranty of America (HWA), a leading supplier of whole home protection plans across the United States.
