Funds to be Used to Drive Sales of Company’s Solutions for Refrigeration and Electronics Cooling

Phononic announced that it has secured $44.5 million in Series D funding. The company said the funds will be used to drive sales of the company’s solid-state cooling solutions for refrigeration and electronics cooling, pursue new market opportunities, and expand manufacturing capacity.
Richard Royal, Walmart’s senior design manager for refrigeration, has set out the global retail giant’s strategy based on increasingly packaged equipment, closer collaboration with the supply chain, and integrated controls systems.
