He Will Manage Daily Operations of North American Technician Excellence

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) today announced the appointment of John Lanier to be chief operating officer of North American Technician Excellence (NATE). Lanier will report to Stephen Yurek, AHRI president and CEO.
As members of the baby boomer generation transition into retirement, more and more qualified individuals are needed to take their places in the workforce. Currently, the number of jobs opening up in the industry far outpaces the number of workers available to fill them.
At its recent meeting, the board of directors of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) renewed the organization’s contract with Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) to provide in-house services. The board also formed a committee to conduct a search for a new president.

Kathy Corr, director of strategic relationships for North American Technician Excellence (NATE), has announced her plans to retire at the end of March 2012. Corr has been a member of the NATE team since 2006.
