Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. MC International, headquartered in Velizy, France, has annual sales of over $200 million.

“With its leadership position in service and its multi-country branch network, the addition of MC International will enable Johnson Controls to enhance and expand the range of value-added refrigeration systems and service solutions for the retail market throughout Europe,” stated Brian Stark, president of the company’s Controls business.

MC International designs, installs, and maintains refrigeration and storage solutions for the retail food market. The company has 1,600 employees, adding to the 8,000 employees Johnson Controls already has in Europe.
