BEIJING - The 2010 International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning (ISH China) drew a record number of exhibitors and visitors to Beijing in March. The show featured 332 exhibitors, an increase of 49 percent compared to the 2008 show held in Shanghai, and attendee numbers more than doubled from 7,100 in 2008 to 14,802 in 2010.

Held at the China National Convention Center, the 2010 exhibit floor featured a wide range of energy-saving and renewable energy heating installations and equipment, air conditioning and ventilation technologies, and sanitation products.

Wang Weidong, general manager of Vaillant in China, said his company exhibited at ISH China because it is “one of the biggest and best well-known HVAC trade shows in China.” He added, “This time the show scale hit another record high, and we are very happy to take part in the show again.”

Several exhibitors came to ISH China to launch new products. Mattia Madaro with Viessmann Heating Technology Beijing Co. Ltd. said, “We launched a solar collector built as a balcony and a gas-fired wall-hung boiler with condensing technology. The show gave us an opportunity to demonstrate these new products at our booth.”

Running alongside the three-day show was the Sino European Congress on “Modern Energy-Saving Concepts and Technologies for HVAC Technology in Buildings,” which attracted over 500 participants.

Congress speaker Fu Lin, a professor at the Tsinghua University School of Architecture, said, “It focuses on hot topics such as energy saving and low carbon emission. Visitors can find a lot of new products at the show, and the congress is talking about how to apply these new products in a practical way.”

Other program events included a press conference on “Innovative Ideas from Leading Boiler Manufacturers” and forums on Beijing architectural decoration design and international bathroom design trends.

ISH China 2011 will be held March 1-3, 2011, at the same venue in Beijing.
