HEI Debuts Tech Sheet

CLEVELAND - The Tube Section of The Heat Exchange Institute Inc. (HEI) released a new technical document, Accepted Practices for Packaging, Transportation, Shipping, and Handling of U-Bend and Straight Feedwater Heater Tubes and Straight Condenser Tubes. This Tech Sheet No. 126 is available for free download at HEI’s Website, www.heatexchange.org.

The HEI Tube Section is also developing education technical sheets for common tube tests and annealing vs. pickling. In addition, the Tube Section has collaborated with HEI’s Condenser Section, Closed Feedwater Heater Section, and Power Plant Heat Exchanger Section to produce a list of qualifications for submitting new tube materials to be included in HEI standards.
