The Puracell II M and MH Series of 4-inch mini-pleat air filters feature heavy-duty, 26-gauge galvanized steel frames in a box or header style in many standard sizes. The pack is pleated, wet laid microglass fiber media. The pleats are separated and supported by a uniform glue bead that produces a low initial pressure drop while maximizing the filtration area, the company states. According to the manufacturer, the media pack is resistant to moisture and does not support the growth of bacteria and mold. The company recommends a final resistance for the filters at 1.5 inches water gauge. Gasketing on either air entry, air leaving, or both is an option on the air filters. A metal face guard also is available.
