The i7 infrared camera is designed for building/home inspectors and energy auditors. It couples RESNET-compliant 120 by 120 (14,400) pixel infrared resolution with 2 percent accuracy and 0.1°C thermal sensitivity. These are a robust combination of capabilities to quickly detect moisture issues, missing insulation, HVAC leaks, electrical problems, thermal leaks, and numerous energy-audit-related problems. It reveals abnormal temperature readings with crisp images displayed on a large 2.8-inch (71 mm) high-resolution color LCD. Three measurement modes are available for extensive analysis of jobsites: spot (center), area (minimum/maximum), and isotherm (above/below). Image controls include three palette options: iron, rainbow, and black and white. Up to 5,000 images can be captured and stored on the i7’s MicroSD card (included). The patented radiometric JPEG format permits the user to analyze temperature data directly from a common image format using QuickReport™ software (included). Radiometric JPEGs permit sharing images with inspection clients via e-mail attachment, MSWord documents, etc., without the inconvenience of cumbersome file export routines.
