Feb. 24, 2005: ICP To Meet With Dealers In 36-City Training Initiative
The Mission Victory Tour will hit the road starting in Tampa, Fla., on March 1, and take training to dealers in 36 cities in the United States and Canada. Its final stop will be Montreal on June 9. Distributors have signed up more than 3,000 dealers to participate in the training sessions.
ICP's president, Herman Kling, said he views the oncoming changes as an opportunity to stand out from the competition, and it starts with the Mission Victory Tour to help Heil, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Arcoaire, and KeepRite dealers get a head start.
"Change is inevitable, especially in the heating and cooling industry," Kling said. "Our success depends on our ability to harness the power of change and use it to our advantage. We embrace the opportunity to set ourselves apart by offering ongoing training to help our dealers prepare for the future.
"When we started the planning processes we estimated 1,500-2,000 dealers would attend," Kling said. "The need and desire for training is evident by the more than 3,000 dealers already signed up."
To prepare dealers for the upcoming changes, the Mission Victory Tour will update dealers on the new efficiency standards, effective dates, and regulations, says ICP. It will also cover the impact the new ruling will have on businesses and offer the training necessary to make a smooth transition. Training highlights include marketing tools, sales training, and R-410A training.
