Dec. 5, 2008: ACCA Announces Partnership With Federated Insurance

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced a new partnership with Federated Insurance, one of the nation’s largest mutual insurance companies. Through the partnership, ACCA members will have access to a growing library of articles and resources related to workplace safety and business risk management, located online at www.acca.org/safety.

ACCA noted that Federated Insurance has an A+ rating by A.M. Best, and has extensive experience working with HVACR contractors. As a result it has developed programs in loss control and business planning targeted especially at the contracting industry.

“ACCA’s leaders chose Federated Insurance as our partner because of their expertise in working with our industry,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “The people at Federated are not coming from ‘outside,’ since they have been working with contractors all over the country, including many of ACCA’s state and local chapters, for many years. They get contractors and they get contracting. They know contractors demand excellent service, quality coverage, and competitive pricing - so that’s what they offer.”

According to Pat Cooper, Federated Insurance first VP and director of marketing, “Everyone knows that ACCA members are the some of the ‘best of the best’ HVACR contractors in the industry. That’s why we are so proud to be the preferred provider for their members’ insurance and risk management needs.”

Federated’s loss control experts will be working with ACCA’s Safety Committee to develop programs that contractor members can use to enhance workplace productivity and ensure the health and well-being of employees.
