Dallas Contractor Saves $100K With Browser-Based Accounting

DALLAS, TX — A building automation systems provider has saved over $100,000 in training and hardware by adopting a browser-based portal that provides employees with access to financial information at customer sites.

Each project that Dallas-based Control Systems International (CSI) undertakes requires installation and project management staff to be onsite throughout the installation process. The portal provides onsite staff with access to project reports, if they need to check and track project expenditures.

Over $40,000 was saved through elimination of the need to upgrade laptops to run the latest software. Another $40,000 in training costs was saved because the portal was “easy to operate,” says the company. The ability to access the home office through the Internet rather than a dial-up connection saved an additional $20,000.

CSI provides integrated command of hvac, lighting, access, safety, and other functions to hospitals, commercial and office buildings, government and educational campuses, and transportation and manufacturing facilities worldwide.
