In his State of the Union address, President Bush mentioned that diagrams of American nuclear power plants were found in terrorist camps. The threat and scope of purposeful sabotage is much greater today than that of natural disasters. Therefore, the Center for Business Intelligence (CBI) has developed the “Safety and Security in the Electric Power Industry” conference to be held March 25-26 in Houston, TX.

Issues that will be discussed include strengthening data security and protecting against cybercrime; planning and creating resilient infrastructures; and assisting policymakers in developing adequate legislation to safeguard the nation’s energy supply and distribution.
