The Robertshaw® 800 Series mercury-free line voltage thermostats are J-box compatible, the manufacturer states. The thermostats can be used in residential and commercial applications with electrical baseboard heating or band coil systems. Four models are in the series: two single-line break heating models, a double-line break heating model, and a single-line break cooling model. According to the manufacturer, features of the thermostats include bimetal temperature sensing for improved thermal performance, convenient temperature display, contemporary styling, a snap-action switch, and positive-off switch to guarantee shutdown of the HVAC system. This line replaces the Robertshaw 500 series.
