Two new compact electronic thermostats are available for central electric air conditioners as well as gas, oil, or electric furnaces and hydronic heating (with or without pump). Available in nonprogrammable (TH147) and programmable (TH147-P) versions, these thermostats feature an advanced temperature control to minimize temperature swings, ensuring greater comfort and energy savings, the manufacturer says. The Energy Star®-qualified TH147-P features seven-day programming and comes preprogrammed with an energy-saving schedule suitable for most households, the company states.
