ATLANTA, GA — A new standard for evaluating hvac air ducts has been published by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Standard 126-2000, “Methods of Testing Hvac Air Ducts” can be used to determine ducts’ structural strength, dimensional stability, durability, and leakage characteristics. Laboratory test procedures and recommended acceptance criteria can be found in the standard.
