April 22, 2009: Travelers Boiler & Machinery Updates Its Equipment Breakdown Insurance

HARTFORD, Conn. - Travelers Boiler & Machinery has announced what it says are significant updates to its equipment breakdown insurance product, EnergyMax 21.

According to the company, the updated EnergyMax 21 was designed to help businesses be prepared for every loss scenario. Included in the updates are:

• “New Generation” Coverage - providing up to 125 percent of replacement value of equipment not repairable for upgrades to state-of-the-art technologies;

• Green Coverage Upgrade - delivering an additional 5 percent - up to $25,000 - above the covered amount of loss to help transition to proven environmentally friendly alternatives;

• Selling Price Valuation - expanded to include all property held for sale - whether or not it was manufactured by the client.

“Protecting against the risks known today is important, but to be truly successful, businesses need to be prepared for every loss scenario, even those that have yet to be considered,” said Anthony Giannone, president, Travelers Boiler & Machinery. “We designed the updated EnergyMax 21 with our customers and agents in mind, creating a product that is broad enough to address almost every equipment breakdown issue, yet set up in such a way that it can be customized for very specific, challenging risks.”
