The WLD is a device designed to transport LonWorks communication data over short and extended ranges using the 900 MHz frequency (902-928). By connecting the WLD Series wireless devices to an existing Lon network, an expansive wireless Lon network can be established while eliminating additional nodes in the network. The wireless protocol features a dynamic addressing scheme that simplifies node-to-node communication and optimizes the RF network. It is designed to be plug-and-play, requiring no special programming. Using a simple software tool that is provided, radios can be addressed to one another in the field.
