ABCO Expands Educational Programs

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY — ABCO University, the educational program started by ABCO Refrigeration Supply Corp. over five years ago, has expanded this year in both locations served and topics covered. Seminars will begin in the fall and continue through spring. The courses will address changes in technology, problem solving, and other product- and application-specific issues.

The fall 2002 schedule list will include a seminar titled “Refrigeration 101,” sponsored by Bohn Refrigeration Products and Harford Duracool. The class will cover basic refrigeration and an introduction to walk-in boxes. Luxaire will present seminars on DL rooftops and two-stage furnaces. The Mitsubishi seminars, titled “P-Series Service Training,” will qualify for the manufacturer’s Diamond Dealer Training.

Other seminars will be conducted by Copeland, Scotsman, Johnson Controls, Sporlan Valve Co., Honeywell, and Modine Furnaces. ABCO says that certificates of completion will be sent to all attendees.

ABCO University’s fall 2002 schedule will provide HVACR seminars in locations served by all 16 branches including Somerville, MA, for the first time. Seminars in the firm’s Middle Village Distribution Center will serve New York City attendees. Other locations include Long Island, Westchester and Rockland Counties; Stamford, CT; New Jersey; Philadelphia; and New Castle (Wilmington, DE). For more information on the seminars, contact your local ABCO Refrigeration branch or call 718-937-9005.
