Feb. 2, 2005: New ASHRAE Green Building Subcommittee To Meet

ATLANTA - The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has announced that Green Building Controls, a new subcommittee of TC 1.4, Control Theory and Application, will hold an organizational meeting at the ASHRAE 2005 Winter Meeting in Orlando, Fla.

The meeting will take place from 3-4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, prior to TC1.4's other subcommittee meetings in the Wyndham Resort, Islander II room (lobby level).

The subcommittee will discuss potential objectives including a review of alternative control methods, equipment, or strategies that support sustainable designs and/or help satisfy Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system credit requirements. The results of the subcommittee's efforts will be published or communicated in an appropriate form, says ASHRAE.

Interested parties are invited to attend or, if a conflict prevents their attendance, are requested to submit a note indicating their level of interest to the subcommittee chair at Len.Damiano@mail.ashrae.org.
