ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) announced that six more HVACR service companies have qualified as MSCA Stars, bringing the total number to 58.

The six newest MSCA Stars are: Alliant Systems LLC, Beaverton, Ore.; McKinstry Co., Portland, Ore.; McKinstry Co., Seattle; Rabe Environmental Systems Inc., Erie, Pa.; Waldinger Corp., Omaha, Neb.; and William E. Walter Inc. Mechanical Contractors, Flint, Mich.

To qualify for MSCA Star status, a contractor must complete a detailed application and provide evidence that they meet or exceed the stringent standards set by MSCA. Contractors designated as MSCA Stars have proven that they are experienced service contractors who employ the best trained and most qualified workforce, maintain a superior safety record, offer outstanding customer service, and focus on continuing education and training for all employees.

These qualifications have been confirmed and verified by MSCA and National Inspection, Testing, and Certification (NITC), an ISO 9001 and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited certifying organization. When a building owner or operator hires a contractor with the MSCA Star designation, they are ensured that the buildings' systems are in the hands of the most qualified and competent contractor available, according to MSCA.

MSCA Star contractors and customers are given access to a new Website that provides contractors, building owners, and the public information on the MSCA Star Qualified Contractor program. The customer section of the Website features information about the program and why hiring an MSCA Star contractor is a prudent choice for buildings and facilities. Customers can also find MSCA Star contractors with direct links to each company Website. It also includes a password-protected members-only section where MSCA Stars can have access to a wide array of marketing materials, newsletters, and graphics to assist with their promotion efforts.
