MaxService (MXS) is a combination of software, hardware, and communication products that provides a secure and efficient environment for data transmission to and from service technicians in the field, the company says. When coupled with a laptop or tablet with wireless Internet access, MXS can be used by a dispatcher to send a work order to a field technician. The technician can create and edit tickets. Also, a field technician can access historical data by site and piece of equipment serviced, collect electronic signatures, and can record in a work order the work performed, which includes labor hours, materials used, and miscellaneous charges. The work order then can be sent back to the office electronically. With a mobile printing device, a work order can be printed onsite and given to a customer. A technician can get directions to the next service call with MXS' interface to approved mapping software.
