HESPERIA, Calif. - Ron Biscaro, the Hesperia Chamber of Commerce's two-term president, recently handed over the gavel to the organization's new president, Eric Schroder of Above All Heating and Air Conditioning, which is located here.

"I know it will be a phenomenal success," Biscaro told the chamber audience during the annual chamber installation event in the Hesperia Senior Campus dining room. "He [Schroder] has exciting plans for this chamber."

Earlier, Schroder introduced members of the chamber's 2006 board of directors, who earlier took their oaths of office at the chamber's monthly luncheon. The current board members are Debby Benton of Charter Communications, Mark Gutierrez of Mark Gutierrez Painting, Terry Moratti of Protection One, Chris Perez of Desert Community Bank, Mark Austin of C-Me Promotions, Becky Otwell of Shear Realty, and Brian Pierce of No More Hunny Do.

The chamber's new executive board consists of Shroder, president; Austin, vice president; Dawn Serbus of Citizens Business Bank, finance director; Jenny Smith of Fastrack Graphics, at large; and Sandy Gutierrez of Valley Hi-Toyota Honda, at large.

Biscaro was given a special acknowledgment as outgoing president.

"I love my time on the board with this Chamber," said Biscaro, who has endured excruciating back pain during his tenure. "There was always someone who said, ‘Let me know if I can help.'"
