ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. - Zone-A-Trolâ„¢ announced that it is changing its name to ZoneFirstâ„¢. The company is working to distinguish itself from the Trol zoning names previously used while continuing to show its history in developing the forced air zoning market.

While ZoneFirst's parent company developed and marketed the leading zoning systems since the early 1960s, Zone-A-Trol was also a name synonymous with hydronic zoning dating back to the 1950s. Trolex's founder created the Zone-A-Trol name for the hydronic market and invented the original motorized dampers and registers in the late 1950s before starting the forced air products that became synonymous with zoning for over 40 years.

"Zoning is always included in every hydronic and radiant heating system. Commercial systems are designed with VAV, which is just another form of zoning and now even the auto industry is embracing multi-zone climate control in their new car ads. Why shouldn't the residential and light commercial HVAC designers and installers do the same?" said Dick Foster ZoneFirst president.

The company's new Website is www.zonefirst.com.
