NORMAN, Okla. - York International Corp.'s Unitary Products Group (UPG) will offer a free training program on Mission 13: Surviving and Thriving. This curriculum, which will focus on how to cope with the coming 13 SEER mandate in 2006, is available for up to 200 HVAC contractors on Sept. 14 at the Nashville Convention Center.

York Business Day offers HVAC contractors the opportunity to take advantage of this latest offering from York's Business Training University (BTU). York's distribution network is co-sponsoring the event. "Our past experience indicates contractors can anticipate another successful series of presentations, designed to equip them with the tools they need to meet the challenges of 13 SEER," said Jeff Revlett, York UPG training manager of North America.

The daylong training program - featuring nationally recognized business, marketing, and contracting experts in the HVAC industry - is free to participants. HVAC contractors who are interested in attending the program should contact the nearest York distributor to register for the event.

Participants in the program may attend four training sessions between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

"York Business Day is another form of support we offer independent contractors through BTU," said Revlett. "Programs like this one, when used in conjunction with factory-delivered field schools, hands-on residential and commercial training, customized on-site group classes, and electronic materials available online, equip our dealers and distributors with the tools they need to succeed."

HVAC contractors can register by contacting their local York distributor.
