COLUMBUS, Ohio - Emerson Network Power announced that the Galaxy 2005 technology conference will be held Oct. 12-13 in Scottsdale, Ariz. Galaxy 2005: Horizons in Business Continuity, will combine educational sessions with product demonstrations focused on helping enterprises achieve higher levels of business continuity by embracing an adaptive architecture to adjust to the changes in criticality, capacity, and density that are occurring in mission-critical facilities today. The event builds upon the success of last year's Emerson Network Power Incredible Universe, which attracted more than 3,000 IT, network, and facilities professionals to the Columbus Convention Center.

"We were overwhelmed by the response to Incredible Universe, which was a success by every measure," said Bob Bauer, group vice president, Emerson and president of Liebert. "With all the change that is occurring in mission-critical facilities today, there is a real hunger for more information on power and cooling technologies and their role in enabling business continuity. "Educationally-focused events, such as Incredible Universe, Galaxy 2005, and the Liebert Business Continuity seminar series provide excellent venues for the market to get the objective, in-depth information it is seeking."

Bauer noted the company plans to hold Galaxy and Incredible Universe events in alternate years and to rotate Galaxy events regionally to increase accessibility.
