The Ghostâ„¢ whole-house fan uses a unique system of suspension for the fan, states the manufacturer. It is fitted with motorized, tight-sealing doors to keep the air from moving in either direction when not in use. According to the company, the fan easily can be mounted on top of the rafters of the attic, and draws 2,800 cfm of air through the house. Internal motorized and insulated doors open into the fan chamber when the unit is turned on, then the 20-inch diameter fan blade begins drawing the air out of the living space. The unit has two speeds and comes with a radio frequency remote control.
