The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) Fox Valley Chapter and the R.W. Kellow Center of Learning will host a seminar on Saturday, May 6, at the Elgin Community College Business Conference Center in Elgin, Ill.

The seminar, "Bringing Your Knowledge to the Next Level & the Slippery Synthetics," will be led by Garth Denison. He will cover several topics in-depth including refrigerant containers; American National Standards Institute/American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Standard 34; chemical structures/facts; regulatory update; replacements/alternatives; comparative performance R-22/R-410A; and continuous servicing and investigation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.

The seminar has been approved for North American Technician Excellence (NATE) recertification credits.

Denison has been in the HVACR industry for more than 40 years. In his current position as a senior product application engineer with the Sporlan Division of Parker Hannifin Corp., he provides technical application information and training.

Testing opportunities for Certificate Member (RSES members only), Certificate Member Specialist (RSES members only), EPA Section 608 certification, and the NATE series of certification exams will also be held on Saturday, May 6, at 5 p.m. at the conclusion of Denison's daylong seminar. Exam fees vary. Registration for exams should be received no later than April 15.
