The AEGIS SGRâ„¢ Conductive MicroFiberâ„¢ shaft grounding brush improves the reliability of HVACR systems by extending motor life. By safely channeling harmful shaft current away from the motor bearings to ground, the SGR prevents electrical bearing damage, and the noise motor failures it causes. It is installed by sliding the brush over either end of the motor shaft and locking it in place with screw-on mounting brackets. No machining is needed, so the device can be installed in minutes, even in the field. The shaft grounding brush's conductive microfibers work with virtually no friction or wear and last the life of the motor, with no rpm limitations. The unit is available in standard sizes to fit AC motors ranging from 1 to 1,500 hp with shaft diameters from 0.311 to 6.02 inches (8 to 153 mm); other sizes are available for shafts with larger diameters.
