LA CROSSE, Wis. - Trane is now accepting reservations for its second half 2005 schedule of commercial training courses designed for all HVAC service technicians and customer operation and maintenance personnel. Classes are held beginning Sept. 12 through the end of the year at the Trane Technology Center training facility in La Crosse, Wis.

One-week courses available include: Absorption Essentials, Air Conditioning Service, CenTraVac Electronic Controls, CenTraVac Mechanical Service, CenTraVac Systems Fundamentals, Chiller Motor Control, Commercial Service 1 and 2, HVAC Electrical Troubleshooting, IntelliPak Rooftop Service, Precedent/Voyager Rooftop Service, Rotary Chiller Electronic Control, RTAA/WA/UA Rotary Chiller Service, RTAC Rotary Chiller Service, RTHA/RTHB Rotary Chiller Service, RTHC/RTHD Rotary Chiller Service, Trane Absorption Chillers, and Water-Air Systems Service.

New for this fall is Rotary Chiller Electronic Control, a controls only course that updates control technicians on all of Trane air- and water-cooled helical rotary chiller control systems manufactured since 1987.

"Trane courses balance classroom theory with practical equipment lab and systems troubleshooting methods," said Dave Long, training center manager. "Technicians will learn to diagnose problems with controls, refrigeration, water, and airside systems, reducing time and expense when servicing Trane products. All courses covering refrigeration provide the most current information on proper handling of refrigerants and compliance with current regulations."
