A new, longer cable has been added to the Nexans radiant heating cable line. The cable is de-signed for interior floor warming and space heating applications. The cable can be laid for wet bed or slab installations. The 512-foot cable covers 221 to 260 square feet of floor space. According to the manufacturer, the TXLP/1-2600/17 only draws a maximum of 11.3 amps at 230 volts, so it can be connected directly to a thermostat, rather than a control panel. With the right thermostat, it can be used with any type of flooring material, including tile, hardwood, laminates, and carpet. A patented, hidden, welded splice feature, with splice points clearly marked, simplifies installation and ensures safe operation in any type of application, the company says.
