The Metasys® building management system has had major hardware and software enhancements made to it. The company says the system now features a broader family of network automation engines that will reduce the cost of integration to BACnet, LonWorks, current, and its own legacy systems. In addition, the system allows integration of its N2 field bus directly into Ethernet networks. This enables field controllers in remote locations to be connected to supervisory components using an organization's existing IT infrastructure. With the Metasys, the controllers don't need to be tied to their own wired network. New data search and analysis capabilities have been added to the system's user interface to make it easier for operators to locate, command, and trend system objects.
