MINNEAPOLIS - Nexstar®, formerly known as Contractors 2000, celebrated its 25th Super Meeting. At this meeting, Nexstar introduced the new Legacy Foundation, a Web-based library of business development and a new training program for HVAC sales, and gave a special tribute to one of the organization's founders, Frank Blau.

The Legacy Foundations' mission is to provide educational scholarships, help rebuild contractor businesses during natural disasters, and help in building a world-class training and development center.

The Vault is a Web-based tool that members can use to access Nexstar's entire body of knowledge accumulated over its history. It also provides members customized paths to follow a logical progression of individual lessons to grow their business. The Vault tracks each individual's progression through the body of knowledge and offers a visual chart of where they are in each of the six categories of business management.

Members attending Super Meeting also had the opportunity to be the first to see the organization's newest self-study training program specifically for HVAC salespeople. The training module is called the Nexstar HVAC Sales Systemâ„¢. According to Nexstar, it is to help give members a competitive advantage in the HVAC market.

Throughout the 25th Nexstar Super Meeting, there were numerous tributes to Blau. He is best known for helping to bring flat-rate pricing to contractors, said the organization. As the Super Meeting attendees registered for the event, they received their own Blau, life-like bobble head. The 7-inch-high statue shows Blau with cash in one hand and a flat-rate book in the other.

The finale of Nexstar's Super Meeting was a final tribute to Blau. This last evening kicked off with a silent auction, raising $17,300 for the new Legacy Foundation.
