The ProAct® refrigerant management is an Internet-enabled service that records and manages the documentation supermarkets need to maintain compliant with Section 608 of the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Air Act. It can help supermarket operators prove that refrigerant recovery equipment has been maintained and can pull the necessary vacuum requirements and that a certified technician pulled the required vacuum, the manufacturer says. With ProAct, supermarket operators can document leak fixes and the tech who fixed the leak; record refrigerant cylinders that have been tested for leaks; track records of purchase, use, and disposal of all refrigerants; and receive automated alerts when leak trigger rates are exceeded, states the company.
