The Spooterâ„¢ hand-operated refrigerant recovery pumps do not use electricity. According to the manufacturer, it can be used as a control testing pump, an oil pump, and a pressure test pump, as well as to transfer refrigerant from one cylinder to another. The company states each pump can be entirely disassembled and the O-rings replaced when the originals develop wear; repair kits are available. The pump is well-suited for use on systems with less than 3 pounds of refrigerant, though it is capable of recovering larger amounts of refrigerant, says the manufacturer. The Spooter IIM is the metric version of the Spooter II; both models are certified by the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).
