MILWAUKIE, Ore. - Portland Mechanical Contractors Inc. (PMC) has acquired Fullman/Kinetics Service, the plumbing and HVAC service division of Kinetic Systems Inc.

The announcement was made by company owner and president Mark Hettervig, who said, "The Fullman name has been around for more than a century. We have long admired the business model developed by Jerry Fullman. Their outstanding staff and service along with our design, installation, and maintenance know-how make a great, natural fit as we continue to grow." He said the addition of the Fullman team strengthens Portland Mechanical's position as one of the largest providers of refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing service and maintenance in the Portland metropolitan area.

PMC was founded in 1998 and has become a leader in its field in the Pacific Northwest. The company said one key to its growth has been its "one call does it all" approach. "With one call, a builder, general contractor, commercial property owner, facilities manager, or homeowner can address a wide range of problems," said Hettervig. "On its own or in conjunction with a customer's team, PMC can develop plans, obtain permits and licenses, do pre-staging and installation, handle testing, and do routine maintenance and repairs down the road."

Another reason for PMC's growth has been its expansion into refrigeration installation, sheet metal fabrication and installation, and process piping installation for new construction and remodel. PMC has a 150,000-square-foot warehouse/fabrication plant in Milwaukie.
