EnerGuide for Houses was created by the government of Canada to help homeowners get independent and expert advice about the energy use of their homes.

Developed by the Office of Energy Efficiency of Natural Resources Canada in cooperation with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the program aims to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide of Canada's housing stock by expanding the energy evaluation industry and improving the energy efficiency of Canadian housing. The EnerGuide is designed to save homeowners money, create jobs, promote the manufacturing and sales of energy-efficient products in Canada, and help protect the environment.
