WACO, Texas — Hvac contractor franchising is starting to take on a distinctly international flavor. At the same time, it lifts one franchiser beyond the crowded, ever-consolidating U.S. market.

Aire Serv, a franchise provider of hvac services, says it will open its first franchise in the United Kingdom this June, with more franchise locations planned for later this year.

“The market was ideally suited for Aire Serv to expand to the United Kingdom,” said David Farr, an electrical contractor who was awarded the Master Franchise license for the hvac operation.

A London Southwest area was chosen as the site for the first franchise, because of the growth and business potential that exists there. Farr said his contracting company would offer service 24 hrs a day, seven days a week; “We want our customers to know that we are here to meet their entire air comfort needs.”

“The Dwyer Group is positioning its franchises to become global leaders,” said Roger Goertz, chief operating officer of Aire Serv, which became the fourth contracting franchise of The Dwyer Group to expand to the United Kingdom. Other Dwyer franchises there include Rainbow International Carpet Care & Restoration Specialists, Drain Doctor, and Mr. Electric.

The company said that all three franchises have had “exceptional growth and expansion since operations began” in the U.K.
