FLUSHING, N.Y. - The 25th annual ABCO Refrigeration Trade Show set attendance records again, topping last year's record by over 100 attendees. According to ABCO CEO Michael Senter, approximately 3,925 guests attended the one-day event on Nov. 9 in Flushing, N.Y. The internal theme for the 25th anniversary show was: "Distributing Excellence: ABCO's Purpose Is Our Promise."

"The idea is to focus on achieving excellence in the nuts and bolts of warehousing, logistics, and distribution while simultaneously focusing on distributing excellence in terms of quality and inventory of products, levels of service, and technical/engineering support for both refrigeration and air conditioning contractors," said Senter.

"This is accomplished, we believe, by creating collaborative partnerships that identify and address needs and objectives not only of customers, who we believe are irreplaceable, but also manufacturers, who are invaluable provided we invest each relationship with initiative, intelligence, intensity and, probably most importantly, integrity."

Many vo-tech students attended the show to learn more about products and services, including students of The NEWS' "Best HVAC Instructor" honorable mention winner Eugene Silberstein of Suffolk County Community College (Brentwood, N.Y.).

Jon Gottlieb, ABCO president, added, "We want to be more than just a supply house, we want to educate and train –– and bring customers together." In the picture above, Gottlieb (left) shares a laugh with show attendee Jaime Alarcon of J.G.A. Corp., Staten Island, N.Y.
