CARLSBAD, Calif. - The Air Movement and Control Association - International (AMCA) elected Lee Buddrus as president at the association's annual meeting. He was a member of the AMCA International board of directors from 1993 to 1999 and was serving as vice president on the executive committee before being elected president.

Buddrus is president of Acme Engineering in Muskogee, Okla. He stated he will "work to continue to develop AMCA's worldwide presence and will also continue to involve AMCA in assisting building code bodies with the development of codes which better promote clean air environments and life safety."

Board members for the 2004-05 year were also elected at the conference. Pete Neitzel of Greenheck Fan Corp. and Future Products Corp. in Schofield, Wis., was elected vice president; Gary Benson of The New York Blower Co. in Willowbrook, Ill., was elected director at large on the executive committee; and Vic Colwell of the Loren Cook Co. in Springfield, Mo., and Ian Andrews of Vent-Axia in Dudley of the West Midlands in the United Kingdom were elected to the board of directors. Outgoing president Tom Edwards, president of both The Ruskin Co. and Lau Industries, will become the new chairman of the board.

AMCA International also welcomed a delegation of 14 people from the Fan Sub Association of the China General Machinery Industry Association. The delegation consisted of the general secretary of the Fan Sub Association of the China General Machinery Industry Association, You Ze Min, and senior managers from seven different Chinese fan manufacturers.
