FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Network '05, the annual convention of the American Supply Association (ASA) and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors - National Association (PHCC), will focus on adding value to the supply chain so that everyone is more profitable.

According to its sponsors, the event is an excellent opportunity for contractors, wholesalers, manufacturers, and others to build relationships that can increase mutual profitability.

For the first time ever, PHCC and ASA will be combining much of their traditional convention schedules to host joint programs. A majority of the programs are designed to make it easy for industry partners to talk about ways to work together more efficiently and profitably.

For example, during an industry panel Sept. 9, contractors, wholesalers, and industry manufacturers will discuss the forces that are changing what they need to do to remain competitive and differentiate their company from the competition. The primary focus will be on the development of a culture of trust.

Another highlight of the conference will be the Channel Marketplace, where contractors will be able to talk one-on-one in an informal tabletop setting with wholesaler and manufacturer representatives. Top-notch speakers also are planned, including keynote speakers Gene Kranz and Jim Lovell of the Apollo 13 space exploration and rescue mission. Kranz and Lovell will talk about the key elements of successful teamwork.

The event takes place Sept. 7-10. For more information, visit www.network05.org.
