Intrepid® filtration media is designed for use in HVAC filters for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. The media is made of thermally bonded, continuous hydrophobic polyolefin fibers that will not shed or absorb moisture, says the company. It has an electret charge for higher initial and sustained efficiency versus cotton/poly media, claims the manufacturer. There are four pleat-filter media grades and four stiff-pocket media grades in the line. Among the pleat-filter media, the 411H and the 358H grades are available with a two-color construction to help in filter installation, the company states.
