  • Rheem Air Conditioning Division (Fort Smith, Ark.) has appointed Ed Lightner to the position of product support manager.

  • ICOR International (Indianapolis) announced that effective Jan. 1, 2004, it will no longer equip any of its disposable refrigerant cylinders with a liquid pickup tube. The tube was designed to alleviate the need for inverting a cylinder to charge the refrigerant in a liquid state. The company's Hot Shot and NU-22 refrigerants must be charged as liquids. Cylinders as well as their boxes will have instructional labels on them designed to avoid end user confusion during the charging process.

  • Heatex Inc. (St. Paul, Minn.) has changed its name to Innovent Air Handling Equipment LLC.

  • Chromalox® (Pittsburgh) has appointed Patrick Bartling as vice president of operations - North America.

  • Kolpak (Parsons, Tenn.), for the third consecutive year, was recognized by Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine as ‘Best in Class' for 2003 in the walk-ins category.
