ARLINGTON, Va. - The Hydronics Institute (HI) Division of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA) recently reintroduced its I=B=R schools with six sessions in four states. The courses were held during November 2003 in New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Minnesota and drew 218 students.

Instructor Dan Almeida led the two-day sessions by teaching the fundamentals of hydronic system design, heat loss calculations, pipe sizing and installation, indirect water heating, and several related topics.

HI Education Committee chairman Joe Coppola said he was very pleased with the turnout of the revamped I=B=R classes.

"The overall feedback was excellent," he said. "We received a number of very positive comments, plus additional requests for content that will allow us to expand and refine our courses in the future."

I=B=R schools resume in the spring and fall of 2004 with 20 locations currently under consideration.

BNP Media's Conferencing Group promotes and manages the courses. For details on the upcoming class dates and locations, visit www.bnp.com/conferences.
