MELBOURNE, Fla. - Coastal Mechanical Services has announced the award of three new projects, totaling over $13 million.

Brasfield and Gorrie awarded the HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical gas contract for the Blake Medical Center Expansion in Bradenton, Fla., to Coastal Mechanical in July. This facility, named one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States, is cooled by 650 tons of chilled water pumped through 10,000 LF of hydronic piping and distribution of air through over 100,000 pounds of sheet metal ductwork, including over 125 plumbing fixtures and 15,000 LF of medical gas systems.

M.J. Harris Inc. awarded the HVAC replacement contract for Brooksville Regional Hospital in Brooksville, Fla., to Coastal Mechanical. This full service acute care facility is cooled by 1,350 tons of chilled water pumped through 40,000 LF of hydronic piping and air distribution through 300,000 pounds of sheet metal ductwork. The Tampa, Fla., office will manage this project, as well as the Blake facility.

Coastal Mechanical also acquired the HVAC and plumbing awards for the design-build of St. Lucie Correctional Center Expansion by Centex Rooney. This addition of 288 beds requires 300 tons of chilled-water cooling, along with the plumbing system. The West Palm Beach, Fla., office will manage this project for Coastal Mechanical.
